One way that Dr. Testa and the River Oaks Dental Arts Team stay on the cutting edge is by offering the latest in laser dentistry and technology. Dr. Testa uses two different lasers for treatment. One of our lasers is used for our accelerated whitening system and the other for procedures such as fillings, gum lifts, and others. Both lasers enable Dr. Testa to offer an experience that is more pleasant for the patient.

Thanks to the laser technology, Dr. Testa can significantly reduce the pain and discomfort associated with dental fillings. If the tooth has never had decay, or has an existing resin filling, she can perform the filling procedure with the laser. In most cases, when using the laser, there is no need for shots, the laser cuts with water, so there is no friction and virtually no pain.

Out of all of the accelerated whitening systems on the market our Laser Smile Whitening system is the only one that uses an actual laser. Compared to the other systems, the Twilight Laser made by Biolase, causes less sensitivity because the laser uses a specific wavelength to speed up the whitening process rather than heat. While minor sensitivity is expected with any accelerated whitening system, less sensitivity is experienced with our Laser Smile Whitening System which offers instant gratification of whiter teeth in about a hour and a half.
